Sue Cumberworth
Sue Cumberworth has extensive experience working with NZ farmers and growers, in Canterbury and across NZ, in numerous roles including farm advisor, researcher and facilitator.
It is as facilitator of farmer groups, and since her first experiences with farm discussion groups through the 1980s, that Sue has increasingly observed the multiple benefits for farmers from participation in a group environment and activities. These include enabling and fostering farmer to farmer sharing of experiences, knowledge, support and building of skills, confidence and relationships.
Sue works with Quorum Sense in the Regional & Community Support team. They support the facilitators and leaders of farmer/grower groups in all aspects of planning, organising and leading groups and their activities to optimise benefits and outcomes for the group members and their farming operations and businesses. Fostering the national network of farmers and growers cultivates additional flow on benefits.
