I’m a middle aged woman who is still a farm kid at heart. Despite leaving my home farm at 17, I’ve spent my life working to support ecologically minded farmers.
In Canada, I have worked within the challenges of farming, food processing, transportation and logistics, provincial and federal food processing regulations, supply management and the realities of retail grocery. Currently working across agriculture, ecology, climate and finance to crack the land access nut.
In New Zealand I have worked with farmers, carbon and ecosystem benefit markets, alternative finance, and with I have a deep understanding of both the complexities and the potential of regenerating working landscapes and the communities who steward them
I dream of regionalized, regenerative food systems that bring ecological and economic vitality back to communities and landscapes.
