Cornelia Holten

Cornelia Holten is the founder and manager at KoruKai Herb Farm. She is passionate about soil health, as it is the foundation upon which everything depends - be it planetary, environmental, plant, animal or human health.

Farming is in her blood and she feels at home milking her cow and growing nutritious food for her family. She is also a scientist at heart and wants to know the why’s and how’s of farming, which made her complete a certificate in Organic Horticulture in 2012 and carry on her education with Dr Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web School in 2018. She produces compost and vermicast for the entire farm and also sells one hundred kilos of composting worms per year to farmers and gardeners around New Zealand to support their regeneration efforts.

She also holds a Master’s degree in Education and is dedicated to sharing her huge passion and knowledge of biological and regenerative farming through workshops, public talks and the KoruKai blog.
